Verbier is situated at 1500m in the heart of the Swiss Alps on a sun-soaked plateau. It is a beautiful resort developed in harmony with it's natural surroundings. Located only one hour 20 minutes drive from Geneva airport which is served by regular flights from Easyjet, Verbier is one of the most accessible alpine resorts. More famous for its winter seasons Verbier has kept its summer potential hidden under a bushel. The opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in the summer are great and the atmosphere in the resort is fun and relaxed.

Verbier is very biker friendly, especially as this is the venue for the start of the Grand Raid Cristalp and stages of the Tour de Swiss and the Swiss downhill championships. There are four bike shops and a multitude of other shops catering to all your needs.

If you don’t want to spend all week biking, or if you have non-bikers among your group there are a wide range of activities to undertake in Verbier including rock climbing, hiking, paragliding, horse riding, fishing, river rafting, hydro speed, rap jumping, and bungee jumping.

For more conventional activities there is an eighteen hole golf course and a pitch and putt, or the local sports centre has excellent facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, squash courts, tennis courts, an ice skating rink, a half pipe and beach volley ball courts.

If this all sounds too energetic you can lay back, relax on the balcony and enjoy the scenery or visit one of the mountain restaurants or just spend a day shopping.
